Esslinger, Nancy (Brock)

Bradshaw

Brock won letters in five sports at Bradshaw. She advanced to the state golf tournament in 1970; lettered three years in basketball and track (sixth place in 4 X 400 relay at state meet); part of three state championship volleyball teams and served as captain on two of those squads, and chosen all-state in 1973; part of state badminton doubles team in 1974. She was the first Female Athlete of the Year at Bradshaw in 1974. At UNA she played tennis, basketball and volleyball, helping the Lions win Alabama AIAW title in 1975. She played on an American volleyball team during trip to Prague, Czechoslovakia in 1976. She helped Ole Miss volleyball teams to national tournaments in ’77 and ’78, serving as co-captain both years. She was an assistant coach at Memphis State for three years, helping the team to the NCAA tournament two times. She has coached numerous camps and other programs.
