Davis, Roy

Central

Roy played football and baseball at Central High School 1963-1967. He averaged rushing 103 yards per game, with a career total of 4,014 yards. He averaged 41.2 yards punting. He scored 57 touchdowns and 86 extra points. He was selected to All-County 1964-1966 and All-State 1965-1966. Single game highlights include a 47 yard field goal against Leighton and a game winning extra point against Muscle Shoals during Muscle Shoals’ homecoming. Davis started at first base for four years. He led the team in homeruns and RBI’s for 3 years with a .400 plus batting average.
