He was a Wilson High School standout named to the 4A All-State Football team in 1985. Career stats include 3,786 rushing yards, 900 receiving yards (24 receptions), 936 return yards, for a total of 5,622 yards that include 47 touchdowns. Add to that 150 tackles, 6 interceptions, and 6 fumble returns. He signed to play with Jacksonville State University.
