Bullard, Carl

Bullard coached boys and girls basketball and girls softball at Wilson for 25 years. He spent 21 years as announcer at Wilson varsity football games. Presently, he is the varsity girls coach at Shoals Christian. As a coach, he had five players earn scholarships – four for basketball and one for softball. Bullard had 36-0 record with two county championships with junior varsity girl’s basketball teams. He is one of three coaches in Lauderdale County to have county championships as a coach for both boys and girls. He had a 78-15 record during first two years as varsity girls’ basketball coach. Won two area and five county championships and was state Coach of the Year in 1989. Bullard was named Times Daily’s Lauderdale County Coach of the Year for three straight years. He won the state championship in 1989 and finished second in 1990.
