Brewer, Beth

Brewer’s basketball team won the first Lauderdale County girls varsity county championship. She was the head girls basketball coach when the Mars Hill Panthers won their first state championship in 1979, the first by a Lauderdale County team. Her volleyball teams won several area and county championships, in addition to advancing to the state tournament. She started the tennis program at Mars Hill with great success, winning five girls and four boys sectional championships. She also started the softball program getting sectional championship wins and appearances in the state tournament. Additionally, she has worked with the Special Olympics for 25 years.
