Bradshaw
Jason was a premier hitter, and first baseman, for Bradshaw. He hit .300 as a freshman, .350 as a sophomore, and .420 as a junior. He was the only returning starter his senior year. His senior year he had a phenomenal batting average of .593 (Bradshaw School record) with 9 home runs (3 of those grand slams) and 52 RBIs his senior year. Bradshaw made it to the 6A quarterfinals in state playoffs. He was selected as Times Daily’s Class 4A-6A Player of the Year. He was named to the Alabama State All -Tournament Team. He signed to play with Calhoun Community College. He played on the 1994 Florence American Legion Team that won the Alabama State Championship and made it to the Southeast Regional in Gainesville, Florida. At Calhoun he hit .367 as a freshman and .384 as a sophomore. He is in the Calhoun legendary history books as a top 10 all timer hitters. He continued collegiate play at Lambuth University where he finished with a batting average of .411 with 10 homeruns and 65 RBIs. He made Mid-South Conference All-Tournament team. His NAIA team was the first ever to defeat the #1 and #2 teams in NCAA DII in back-to-back days. They defeated UNA and Delta State. Following college graduation, he signed to play with the Evansville Otters of the Frontier League. As the result of an injury, he gave up playing baseball. He is still involved in assisting with local youth leagues and development programs.
