Rogers

Dan was a three sport letterman at Rogers High School. He shot 81% from the free throw line in basketball. In baseball he was All-County and All-Area 1986-1988. He had a .371 batting average which included 17 homeruns and 78 RBI’s. In football he was named player of the week numerous times. He was All-County and All-Area 1985-1987 and All-State in 1987. He was named Lauderdale County Player of the Year in 1987. His high school career stats include 502 tackles, 7 interceptions, 1,817 rushing yards, 20 touchdowns, and 38.4 yards punt average. He played football at Troy University. He returned to his alma mater to teach and coach. His baseball teams won 3 Area and County Championships. His team played in the State Finals in 2000. He was named Times Daily Baseball Coach of the Year. His football teams won the schools only Regional Title in 2010 (as of 2016). His teams won 3 County Championships and made it to quarterfinals in state playoffs 3 years and semifinals in 2011. He was named Times Daily Football Coach of the Year for two years.
