Shoals Christian

Daniel was a 2008 graduate of Shoals Christian School, standout in 3 sports. In basketball he was named to the Northwest Regional All-Tournament Team his sophomore season. During his senior year he averaged 19.3 ppg and 7.4 rpg while finishing with more than1,500 career points. He was named to the Times Daily 1A-3A All-Area Team. In baseball he helped lead his team to a back-to-back state championship runner up finish his sophomore season. He finished his senior season with AVG .331 with 3 HR, 29 RBI, and 26 stolen bases. In football he set a state record for all classifications with 106 receptions for 1,489 yards and 14 touchdowns. He was named to Alabama Sports Writers Association 1A All-State First Team Offense WR (2007), 2006 & 2007 Times Daily Class 1A-3A All-Area WR, while helping lead his team to the first ever school playoff berth in 2006 and quarterfinals in 2007. He earned a starting wide receiver position at UNA close to playoffs his junior year. He finished with 43 career receptions and 1 touchdown. One of fourteen wide receivers all time at UNA to have a 100 yard receiving game in the NCAA playoffs with 8 catches for 104 yards against West Alabama. Academic All-Gulf South Conference Team and Capital One Academic All-District Team.
